| Identify Causes When the objective is to get to the actual root cause of a person's illness, then we don't believe we can have too much information about the patient's history, condition, emotional state, etc. Therefore, whenever possible it is always good to utilize several different types of assessment. As we have learned through our extensive Research & Development, there are simply no shortcuts. Though we do employ all the assessments discussed here, EAV still remains the most effective and comprehensive assessment when used along with the Causal Chain. EAV (Electro-Acupuncture by Voll) EAV point testing has been used for many years to identify a person's energetic imbalances in the body's organs and systems. Up until recently this process has been difficult to become proficient, discouraging most practitioners from incorporting this powerful assessment technology into their practices...but things have changed! Not everyone using EAV gets the kinds of results that are possible when using EAV along with the Causal Chain process. For several years we have been developing a software program called SYNERGY that integrates EAV and the Causal Chain. The result is an easy-to-learn assessment system for any practitioner to root out the causes of disease and corresponding remedies, supplements, herbs, etc. that will engergetically balance the patient's "root cause". Additional information such as nutritional and blood deficiencies, toxins, and geopathic stress also help identify important diet, supplement, and lifestyle suggestions. We have found no better system to assess a patient in our own clinic, and we conduct workshops on a regular basis to teach practitioners how to use the BRITT Assessment system. Though EAV point testing with SYNERGY is the heart of our assessment system, there are several other assessment technologies that also can be used as part of the BRITT system to help Identify causes. This includes Heart Rate Variability, Computer Regulated Thermography, Darkfield Microscopy, Biological Terrain Assessment (BTA), and Kinesiology. Click here for a diagram of the BRITT Assessment System. The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is the portion of the nervous system that controls the body's visceral functions, including action of the heart, movement of the gastrointestinal tract and secretion by different glands, among many other vital activities. It is well known that mental and emotional states directly affect the ANS. Heart rate variability, or heart rhythms, serves as a dynamic window into autonomic function and balance. While the rhythmic beating of the heart at rest was once believed to be monotonously regular, we now know that the rhythm of a healthy heart under resting conditions is actually surprisingly irregular. These moment-to-moment variations in heart rate are easily overlooked when average heart rate is calculated. Heart rate variability (HRV), derived from the electrocardiogram (ECG), is a measurement of these naturally occurring, beat-to-beat changes in heart rate. HRV represents a simple, quick, non-invasive assessment that adds another important piece of a patient's overall "health puzzle". While there are many HRV systems out there, our recommendation is Nerve-Express. For more information, visit the Nerve-Express webiste or read our white paper. Computer Regulated Thermography (CRT) CRT measures the exchange of heat at pre-determined body locations before and after an exposure to cold. The circulation in the skin is indirectly influenced by the inner organs through the nervous system. One can take advantage of this phenomenon with the use of thermography, in order to then evaluate the results with the aid of computer-guided calculations. The estimation ensues through a number of steps, in order to evaluate the reaction of the body to a cooling-down process. So what can be found out? One can recognize from a CRT diagram, the causes for chronic illnesses in order to get indications for the therapy, and to control the therapeutic procedure as well.
